- Abstract
- Fully amorphous Zr65Al10Ni10Cu15 alloy sheets with thickness varying from 0.1 mm. to 0.4, mm were fabricated by a squeeze casting method. These sheets were blanked under high hydraulic pressure at room temperature. A round hole was cut through the sheet with evidence for plastic deformation along the edge of rim. This result indicates that bulk metallic glasses known to be very brittle can be blanked well under hydraulic pressure.
