Abstract
This paper proposes a high-gain Antipodal Vivaldi antenna operating in the ISM bands of 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz for microwave power transmission systems. The proposed antenna is composed of an antipodal Vivaldi antenna the two radiating flares, periodic diagonal slots, and an elliptical director to improve the bandwidth and the bore-sight gain. The simulated bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 75% with a center frequency of4 GHz. The bore-sight gains are 8.4 dBi at2.4 GHz and 11.8 dBi at 5.8 GHz, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.
