- Abstract
- This article presents the analytical framework for understanding architecture in relation to a user experience and participation rather than the form of architecture. The analytical framework is applied to a case study of architect Kim Joong-up, who used architectural language captured the Einfuhlung(empathy) theory that was mentioned at the end of the 19th century as part of the user's experience. The results of this study are as follows ; Physical movement leads users to experience the empathy of architecture. It takes a view of architecture beyond space and form, through user experiences.
