Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating effect of appearance satisfaction on the relationship between makeup color selection motivation and interpersonal relations among working women. The participants in this study were 444 working women in Seoul and Gyeonggi. There were four hypotheses in this study. To verify the hypotheses of this study, descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis were conducted. The conclusions drawn through the research procedures are as follows. First, working women's motivation for color selection had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on interpersonal tendencies. Second, working women's color selection motivation had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on appearance satisfaction. Third, the appearance satisfaction of working women had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on interpersonal relationships. Fourth, in the relationship between color selection motivation and the interpersonal disposition of office workers, appearance satisfaction showed a partial mediating effect. Therefore, all four hypotheses were accepted.
