Abstract
In this action research, we explored the practices of inclusive arts education through collaborative exchanges between artists with disabilities and non-disabled artists. Our approach, rooted in the philosophy of inclusive arts, emphasized the unique identities and diversity of individuals with disabilities. The study followed a participatory action research methodology, involving stages of research, imple- mentation, reflection, and recognition. Observations revealed that artists with dis- abilities embraced their artistic experiences, immersing themselves deeply, dis- covering their unique identities, and internalizing the experiences positively. The collaborative process also allowed non-disabled artists to confront and reassess their previous discriminatory beliefs and negative preconceptions about disability, broadening their creative horizons. Our findings highlight the potential of artistic interaction in a non-face-to-face setting, underscoring that the success of such interactions hinges not on technology, but on the embracing of the ‛inclusive arts’ educational philosophy.
