- Abstract
- Abstract In this era of Big Data, accumulation and exchange of data is considered to reflect the current global mind. Much of the actions and interactions are datafied, forming the base of the rationale for decision-making. In the field of design, design practices in connection to data, such as data- oriented design and data visualization, are conducted. Nevertheless, the Big Data does not cover the realms that are uncountable and unscientific. They are called the real-life data, which is cultural and socio- emotional. This paper re-interpreted reflection and curation of the real-life data in design process, which are easily neglected by the systemic Big Data management, and formulated data-curated design process model. It is to examine how such real-life data is utilized and adapted in the process, and how we are to curate and handle these data. It is anticipated to sequentially contribute to the understanding of the complexity of data in relation to human experience by developing an alternative design methodology, strengthening the practice of human-centered design through the ever-expanding real-life data. Keyword:Data-curated Design Process, Socio-Cultural Data, Real-life Data
