In MIPI specification where mobile interfaces are defined, interfaces for camera and display is stated in separately. The usage for camera and display interfaces are individualized into CSI-2 and DSI, respectively. However, boundary between CSI-2 and DSI is not absolute. DSI which is devised originally for display is also used for camera interface in several cases. Therefore, we design hardware that can support both camera and display interfaces. C-PHY is newly released to replace the D-PHY. Comparing with D-PHY, the C-PHY supplies higher throughputs and requires less number of pins. In our design, both C-PHY and D-PHY can be connected. The hardware design was verified in RTL by Modelsim and the verification of the operation was conducted by FPGA implementation on Atrix-7. The implementation result from FPGA shows that our design can support QHD (2,560×1,440) display at 60fps.-
