- Abstract
- This study deals with government-initiated consulting service for SMEs who want sustainable growth, mainly focusing on success factors. The specific aim in this study is to shed lights on the importance of consulting firm's additional supporting services such as education, change management and networking services, and client's intention to grow and level of participation in consulting activities. In order to reach this purpose, our study investigates 15 relevant cases consisted of SMEs that is participating in consulting services led by Gumi Business Growth Support Center. The results obtained by a certain comparative analyses and non-parametric tests show that consulting firm's education and some networking services and clients' intention to grow influence qualitative performance reflecting improvement of capabilities. Meanwhile, for quantitative performance measured by sales volume, it is revealed that change management and level of participation in networking programs show positive effects.
