Abstract
The antenna is a key component of IFF RADAR, which transmits and receives signals. The IFF RADARis mounted on the vehicle and operated; therefore, its components must withstand the shock that may occurwhile driving. This study verifies the stability of the antenna mounted inside the IFF RADAR using theconnection between modal analysis and transient analysis. The shock data was obtained from METHOD 516.8of MIL-STD-810H. By analyzing the antenna, we found maximum equivalent stress of 169.49 MPa and aminimum safety margin of 2.31 has occurred on the antenna bracket. Therefore, we found that the antenna ofIFF RADAR demonstrated sufficient stability during the operation.
