- Abstract
- The increasing consumption of meat products due to social impacts such as single-person households and COVID-19. Quality management of meat products typically focuses on color, flavor, and texture, but size is also an important factor. In this study, we propose a method for calculating the dimensions of meat products using point cloud data obtained from a depth cam era. Currently, the management standards (measurement locations) are also based on the opera tor's experience. In this study, we also propose product-specific management standards. The point cloud data obtained from the depth camera contains a lot of noise, which is removed through grid construction and point separation. Boundary points are extracted and product types are classified into circular, triangular and other types to calculate the length for the major and minor axis directions, as well as the thickness. The accuracy of the system is verified using pre cision-manufactured jigs, and its feasibility is demonstrated through its application to various products.
