- Abstract
- It has been reported that the CuZnAl shape memory alloys show a large anisotropy of functional property in a single crystal. This means that the texture of the polycrystalline alloy, which develops at all stages of the manufacturing process, must be considered to gain better properties. The austenitic texture of the 90% hot rolled Cu-23.8wt%Zn-4.0wt%Al sheet is analyzed and the pseudoelastic elongation of the alloy is estimated using ODF. The influence of the texture on pseudoelastic property will be quantitatively confirmed by comparing the results from the ODF with the measured results from the cyclic tensile test.
