Abstract
A Pulse Current Injection (PCI) experiment was conducted in accordance with the MIL-STD-188-125 standard to test the resistance results of HEMP and IEMI attacks on existing CCTV systems. Experiments have shown that the adapter is broken at the pulse current of 200A and blacked out the surveillance screen. Through further current injection experiments, the monitoring screen was blacked out because the pulse current of 2500A broke not only the adapter and camera but also the input terminals of the DVR. Given the results of these experiments, it is believed that for CCTV systems monitoring external conditions at major defense installations, it is essential to establish CCTV systems for high-power electromagnetic pulse protection against HEMP and IEMI attacks.
