- Abstract
- PPV derivatives were synthesised through the thiophenoxy precursor polymer, which was obtained by reacting the water-soluble sulfonium precursor polymer with sodium thiophenolate in aqueous solution. The thiophenoxy precursor polymer was extremely stable upon heating and resisted elimination under the general conditions. Varying the thiophenoxy precursor chain length effectively has changed band gaps and emission colours of PPV derivatives.
