Theminimum airflow ofVAV terminalboxesisakeyfactorforcomfort,indoorairquality(IAQ)andenergy cost.Iftheminimum airflow isnotresonable,itwouldwasteenergyandmakeIAQ problems.Therearetwotypes ofVAV terminalboxcontrollogic.Oneisthesinglemaximum,anotheristhedualmaximum controllogic.Dual maximum controllogicismoreefficiencywaytoreducetheenergyconsumption.Ithasaminimum airflow set pointandaheatingmaximum setpoint.Itallowstheminimum airflow setpointtobemuchlowerthansingle maximum controllogic.A buildingsimulationwasconductedtoevaluatetheenergyconsumptionandtheIAQ accordingtothecontrollogicoftheVAV terminalbox.Inthesimulation,dualmaximum controllogiccansave theenergyupto6.5% comparedtothesinglemaximum controllogic
