<만화본 춘향가>의 교감과 번역상의 문제

Abstract

It is not too much to say that <Manhwabon Chunhyangga>, which Manhwa Lyu Jin-han wrote in the form of a Chinese poem in 1754, is the oldest one of the variants of <Chunhyangjeon> handed down to the present, and is the starting point of exploring <Chunhyangjeon>. The purpose of this study is to explore canonizing <Manhwabon Chunhyangga>, and checking on mistranslations and problems with the translation of it. The results are summed up as follows:First, in order to establish the standard edition of <Manhwabon Chunhyangga>, Chunhyangga of 『Manhwajib』 of Cheongjeolseowoenbon was analyzed in contrast to the basic edition, Chunhyangga of 『Manhwajib』 of Ilsabon. As a result, 22 places of any problem were canonized. Second, 28 mistranslations and problems with the existing translation of it were corrected and supplemented. However, there may still be wrong or unsmooth translations. A deeper study is expected to follow this study in the near future.
