- Abstract
- This paper deals with the earthquake-resistant capacity of reinforced concrete beam-column joints with steel fiber. Eight
beam-column joint specimens (including control specimen) were experimentally evaluated to determine improvements in
earthquake-resistant capacity. Test parameters in this experimental study are concrete compressive strength (24, 59 MPa) and
volume ratio of steel fiber (0, 0.3, 0.6, 1%). RC beam-column joint specimens were tested under reversed lateral cyclic load.
Considering concrete compressive strength and volume ratio of steel fiber, maximum strength, initial stiffness, shear strength
and energy dissipation capacity of test specimens were evaluated.
The results show that the earthquake-resistant capacity of specimens with steel fiber improve than that of specimen without
steel fiber. and we did compare experiment results with ACI352R-02 and Tang`s equation
