dc.description.abstractMeasurement tools using computer and information technology are increasingly needed by school personnel engaged in implementing school-wide Response to Intervention (RTI) approaches to support wide scale screening, intervention decision making, and progress monitoring. Practitioners implementing RTI need sensitive and valid information on student behavior and aspects of the student's instructional environment. Main-Stream Code for Instructional Structure and Student Academic Response (MS-CISSAR) is an ecobehavioral classroom observation instrument capable of providing this information. This article reports the results of product development research seeking to upgrade MS-CISSAR and support its use with new mobile technology (EBASS Mobile 2009). EBASS Mobile represents an advance in instrumentation and mobile technology compared to the original version of the Ecobehavioral Assessment System Software (EBASS). Results of usability testing and student data collected in field use are reported relevant to RTI.-
