- Abstract
- 淸初《尺牘新語》是汪淇與徐士俊,黃周星共編的尺牘選集. 《分類尺牘新語》、《尺牘新語二編》、《尺牘新語廣編》全三卷的此尺牘選集在新語的標題之下具有獨特的編輯方式. 以“務采新奇”, “廣蒐稿集”, “府綴評語”爲編輯的核心內容的 《尺牘新語》是與讀者的互相關係甚重要的尺牘選集. 自全國寄來的新奇尺牘通過公允的審査和選別的過程告示讀者, 因此這一時期大衆的影響最大的尺牘選集當推 《尺牘新語》. 《尺牘新語》中硏究對象的遊記尺牘有兩個特徵. 其一是景觀的素描. 遊記尺牘主要描繪小景, 不是名山大川. 遊覽是用輕鬆的心思寫作, 遊覽場所也不是遠的地方. 與以前袁宏道, 王思任的山水遊記很有差別. 又其一是本尺牘內容外的聲音, 卽評語. 這評語中有關尺牘內容外的受信者或者發信者的. 那就是評者的經驗談, 卻比尺牘內容更使讀者覺得讀尺牘的滋味. 這就是 《尺牘新語》受人好評的理由. 筆者以爲這也就是由于 《尺牘新語》的大衆性和文學性.
