Abstract
The corrosivity of FeCl3 and Fe(OTs)3 solutions, which have been received considerable attention as an oxidant of conductive poly(3,4-ethylenediothiophene) nanofilms, were studied by three different methods. These were planned-interval weight loss test, linear polarization test and AC impedance test. The corrodibility of copper alloy in these two solutions were compared and disscussed. The corrosion rate in FeCl3 and Fe(OTs)3 aqueous solutions were 189mmpy and 29mmpy, respectively. Also, the corrosion rates from three different testing methods were disscussed. Comparing to the corrosion rate of weight loss methods in FeCl3 solution, those of linear polarization technique and impedance spectroscopy were 60% and 170%, respectively.
