Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand how the middle age and elderly patients with IHD relapse to experience change of life after cardiovascular interventions (CI). Methods: The data was analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method. The study participants were 12 middle age and elderly patients with IHD relapse after CI. Results: The essential meanings on change of life in the middle age and elderly patients with IHD relapse after CI were as following: 'Feeling more aging and limitation of physical strength', 'Feeling disease stress, but trying to control of mind', 'Living with fear of death and uncertain prognosis','Withering with interpersonal relationships and decreasing range of social activity', 'Trying to active effort for health management in a variety of ways', 'Being opportunity to realize the seriousness of disease', 'Increasing medical expense burden', 'Life was tired and past life is regretted'. Conclusion: The middle age and elderly patients with IHD relapse to experience change of life after cardiovascular interventions experienced changes of life in various aspects of their social context. Theses result would provide basic data of cardiac rehabilitation program development to prevent IHD relapse which reflecting the view of subjects.
