- Abstract
- To miniature the size of dual-mode defected ground structure (DGS) resonator, novel meander defected ground waveguide resonator filter geometry is proposed in this letter. Its equivalent circuit structure and the coupling scheme are analyzed by even-odd mode theory. Defected corner-cut perturbation is introduced to adjust the strength and nature of the coupling between the degenerate modes of this dual-mode resonator. This filter with elliptic characteristics is designed, fabricated and measured. A good agreement between simulation and measurement verifies the validity of this design methodology.
