Abstract
Effects of web site tourism information exposure on destination image were examined in this study. Static-group comparison design was used to test a conceptual model. A total of one hundred four students in US participated in this experiment. Experimental group was exposed to KTO Web site for ten minutes, while control group participated in the survey without any experimental stimuli. Results of 2-groups MANOVA showed that there was a significant difference. Specifically, results of a series of ANOVA indicated that image score of the experimental group was higher than the control group in four image factors including local attraction, natural/cultural attraction, quality of life, and transportation and safe. These results support the concept of destination image evolution suggested by Gunn.
