Abstract
Stainless steel and brass have a characteristic luster and color, and because of the nature of light reflection, it is often difficult to observe ridges when fingerprint in blood is deposited. Therefore, fingerprint in blood should be enhanced using appropriate techniques. Therefore, amido black, Hungarian red, acid yellow 7, Sudan black, Swedish black powder, Green Escent powder and CA fuming methods were applied on the fingerprint in blood deposited on the surface of stainless steel and brass. As a result, it could be confirmed that the Hungarian red was effective on the surface of stainless steel, and acid yellow 7 was effective on the surface of brass. In addition, Swedish black or Sudan black treatment followed by amido black, Hungarian red or acid yellow 7 showed an additional enhancement effect. Among them, Swedish black treatment followed by acid yellowed 7 treatment showed the best enhancing effect.
