Abstract
Microgrid is an electrical power supply system in some areas centering on a decentralized power supply independent from the existing wide area power supply system, and it is critical to secure its security because it is a core domain of Smartgrid 2.0 as well as a closely related part with general customers. As ICTs are integrated to the existing electric grid, various security threats happening in the existing IT network can happen in Smartgrid including Microgrid. In order to respond to these security threats, a security architecture considering ICT needs to designed. However, in the existing security standards for Smartgrid, there is no discussion on Microgrid or, if any, it is only at a insignificant level, so it is anticipated that coping with various security threats with these standards is not easy. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the vulnerabilities of Microgrid system and application and propose an advanced security architecture to respond to them.
