컨벌루션 적분에 대한 교육용 자바 애플릿의 구현

Abstract

This paper presents web-based Java applet for understanding the concepts of convolution integral in engineering mathematics. Through our educational Java applet, the learners will be capable of learning the concepts and theories related to convolution integral and how to calculate the integration. The use of simple and user-friendly design allows a large number of students to access our educational Java applet easily. Thus, self-guided advanced training is available even if many expensive types of software tools will not be provided in the on-campus classes. During learning session, the learners change the settings of the functions and observe the convolution result by simple mouse clicks The proposed educational Java applet for convolution integral can be used in stand-alone fashion, but if it will be used together with on-campus class, higher learning efficiency can be obtained. Our educational Java applet provides the learners with interactive learning environment and a new approach for the delivery of engineering mathematics.
