- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of direct and direct experience and cultural orientation on pre adapted physical educators’ multicultural efficacy. Participants were 392 students in the Department of physical education teacher education. A questionnaire method was used to measure aforementioned factors. Based on the results, interpersonal relations to individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds were significantly influential in improving pre adapted physical educators’ multicultural efficacy, whereas, no effects of indirect experience (learning diverse cultural information) were found. Vertical individualism, horizontal individualism, vertical collectivism, horizontal collectivism had positive impact on pre adapted physical educators’ multicultural efficacy. Practical experience and cultural orientation should be considered in the development of multicultural efficacy.
