- Abstract
- The purpose of the study is to present the principles for somatic movement education and therapy. The methodology for the study is to review the various somatic practices, as well as the related literatures. The ‘BRACED' principles are presented in this study. 'BRACED' is a new acromym of the principles; Breathe, Relax, Align, Connect, Expect, and Dance. In somatic perspectives, these principles will help prevent movers, dancers in particular, from being injured.
