- Abstract
- 1. The esthetics of Hartmann and theory of Art in Kandinsky has many commonness. Art(creation) is a materialization of spirit, artefact is objetificated spirit . And appreciation is a reading of the spirit in artefact. So esthetical concepts of Hartmann can be applied to Art of Kandinsky.
2. Abstract paintings of Kandinsky imply spiritual contents and representation of general essence of universe as music. Accordingly abstract painting can be understood as music. Although Hartmann don't deal with abstract paintings, principle of music of Hartmann can be applied to understanding of abstract paintings.
3 'Fuga' of Kandinsky is analyzed in this research with foreground and background concepts of Hartmann and the principle of fuga. Two line in foreground, that crossing each other, mean the opposition of good and evil, now(world-war) and future(hope and utopia).
