Abstract
In this paper, an effective output voltage control method using asymmetrical duty cycle control to improve operating performance at a CV charging mode of full-bridge series resonant dc-dc converter applied to an on-board charger in Electric Vehicles (EVs) is presented. The proposed control scheme has higher efficiency and better operation performance than a conventional method at light load without the additional hardware. The theoretical analysis has been described in detail and the validity is verified by simulation and experiment through a 3.3kW prototyped on-board charger with electronic load. © 2012 IEEE.
