- Abstract
- Nowadays, smartphones are widely attracted, due to their capability of making the mobile phone no longer only a device providing the calling service, but also an intelligent pocket personal computer. By installing additional software on the phone, the control process can be made ubiquitous and wireless. Over these years, it is hard to deny that touch based gaming has really come a long way, with which, gamers everywhere are given new avenues as regards to the enjoyment of their beloved hobby. In this paper, we created a virtual joypad for the Android-power mobile phone users to play desktop PC games, as well as a virtual joypad server on windows platform to receive messages from Android client and translate into what games can recognize. The testing result shows our virtual joypad is offering us a novel and unforgettable playing experience. © 2011 IEEE.
