- Abstract
- Recently, requirement for a novel wireless network that has fast transmission, low cost, high efficiency and mobility support has increased. Mobile WiMAX Forum is leading next generation wireless network to provide the user's demands in broadband environment. However, problems that occur inMIPv6 (Mobile IPv6) still appear in Mobile WiMAX network. In this paper, we propose a scheme to increase the probability of working in FMIPv6 (Fast handover for MIPv6) predictive mode by using a temporary CoA (Care of Address). When using the automatically created CoA, DAD (Duplication Address Detection)procedure to verify the validity of the address is essential, but our proposed scheme guarantees the uniqueness of the address in a cell, omits DAD step and increases the probability of working inpredictive mode.
