Abstract
In this paper, we presents a loss analysis in soft switching boost converter using a single switch. The proposed paper shows a measurement of efficiency according to the optimal design. Also, we made a linearized equivalent circuit for analyzing the loss of switch and diodes. Soft switching boost converter designed with 200-350[V] input, 400[V] 2.5[A] output and 30[kHz] switching frequency is tested respectively with 10[%] -100[%] load variation. The total losses in input 200[V], 1[kW] load are analyzed by using the linearized equivalent loss models. ©2009 IEEE.
