Abstract
The transport and magnetic properties are studied on Pr5Ni2Si3, which has several magnetic orderings. Ferromagnetic/ferrimagnetic orderings are observed at 70 and 55 K and an antiferromagnetic ordering occurs at 43 K. The signature of spin fluctuation is observed below T-N. The spin fluctuation is suppressed when the magnetic field exceeds the metamagnetic transition field, H-m = 3, T below 12 K, whereupon the magneto resistance decreases steeply. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V.
