- Abstract
- Objective From the four perspectives of personnel, catheter placement, materials, and methods, implement continuous improvement in nursing quality, and provide a basis for reducing the occurrence of unplanned detubation of the gastric tube in patients with esophageal cancer after surgery, improving the quality of care, and ensuring patient safety. Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 266 patients with community-based continuous care and long-term nasal feeding in Beijing and Qiqihar from April 2018 to September 2011 and divided into control group and observation group. The observation group used the cloud system for nursing and health education, and the incidence of unplanned deregulation of patients in the 2 groups and patient satisfaction were used as evaluation indicators. Results The patient's irritability and delirium, and the inability to tolerate gastric tube stimulation were the main reasons for unplanned degassing. Further analysis indicated that the knowledge of indwelling gastric tube during perioperative period was insufficient and the patients and their families did not realize the importance of indwelling gastric tube; Properly, insufficient placement depth, and not using restraint tools are the real causes of detubation; detubation occurred on the 2nd to 4th day after surgery, from 22:00 in the evening to 8:00 in the morning. Conclusion The use of cloud system for nursing health education can reduce the incidence of unplanned gastric tube unscheduled in patients with long-term nasal feeding in community continuation care by optimizing the nursing work process, ensuring patient safety, and significantly improving patient satisfaction. © 2021 Author(s).
