- Abstract
- Based on the language learning theory in the construction grammar, the paper discussed how the Korean study the resultative structure in Chinese. According to the construction grammar, the resultative structure is composed of many constructions or chunks. Accordingly acquiring of the resultative structure is acquiring of these resultative constructions or chunks. Collocation is also used in the paper which is a concept from Lexicology, cause grammar is about the relation of words. In traditional TCASL, it has been considered as a part of sentence pattern, which has hampered both Chinese teaching and learning.
The paper classify the Chinese resultative structure, then summary the meaning of the every structure’s. As a conclusion, the relation of predicate and complement is very abundant and open. The collocation of predicate and complement is possible if only there is any relevance between the predicate and complement. Then the paper carry on the error analysis through the comparing the resultative structure in Chinese and the corresponding forms in Korean, then found out that the resultative structure in Chinese does not have the same construction in Korean, just for this reason, Korean students feel unfamiliar to the resultative structure in Chinese, along with the students take the avoidance strategy in speaking Chinese. The paper stress the relation of predicate and complement. Acquiring of resultative constructions would help to langue train and draw inferences, thereby master and use the results complements in Chinese.
