- Abstract
- This paper relates to the transformer inrush current of electric railway with Automatic power Changeover Switch (ACS) system. A neutral section on electric rail- ways can cause speed drop of electric trains. In order to improve these problems, ACS system is considering on electric railways. This system is power change by control static switch in the neutral section. It is expected to cause a variety of transients. Especially, transient current for single phase transformer can be critical occurrence more than load current according to closing phase angle. In this paper, we analyze the transient charac- teristics of the automatic power switch system according to the closing phase angle using PSCAD/EMTDC. © ICIC International 2014.
