- Abstract
- This paper proposed a management algorithm of energy storage system for the purpose of speed compensation on neutral section with existing method that energy storage system discharges during acceleration operation and charges during braking operation. Capacity of energy storage system is determined considering distribution rate of regenerative energy using measured data. Usage patterns of energy storage system were analyzed by substituting the actual train performance pattern after algorithm of energy storage system implements. Finally, it verified the effects of energy storage system by evaluating before and after introduction of energy storage system such as efficiency of power consumption and speed changes of train. © 2013 ICIC International.
