- Abstract
- The development of anisotropic turbulent flux in plasma driven by noise is numerically studied. The noise is assumed to be of a Gaussian process whose corrleation function is not symmetric under the reflection in a direction (s) over cap. Numerical simulations in a periodic square box of two dimensions show that the energy flux due to the inertia and the Lorentz force is anisotropic. Along (s) over cap the turbulent flux is random while along the perpendicular direction (s) over cap (perpendicular to) it has a mean profile. Comparison of the turbulent flux with an advective flux reveals that the advecting velocity along (s) over cap (perpendicular to) is proportional to the strength of the noise that is not symmetric under reflection.
