Abstract
We synthesize the TiO2 nanowire electrodes via hydrothermal process without addition of any surfactant as a function of reaction time. The short-circuit current density and cell efficiency of the TiO2 nanowire electrodes in DSSC increase with decreasing reaction time. In particular, the rutile nanowire electrodes show an improved open-circuit voltage due to an increased electron lifetime in one-dimensional electrode. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
