- Abstract
- 본 연구는 1988～2008기간 동안 유가증권시장으로 상장장소를 이전한 코스닥상장법인들의 주가행태를 분석함으로써, 시장이전이 기업가치에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 코스닥시장이 완전히 활성화된 1999년 5월 이후 시장이전에 대한 공시효과는 긍정적이었지만, 실제 시장이전일과 이후의 주가반응은 모두 부정적인 반응을 보인다. 특히 시장이전일 시점부터 1년간 누적초과수익률은 일관되게 시장발전단계에 따라서 감소 또는 부정적으로 전환하였음을 연구결과는 제시한다. 시장이전행위가 더 이상 기업가치제고로 연결되지 않고 있음을 증거한다. 시장효율성과 배치되는 결과임에도 불구하고, 그동안 이루어진 제도개선효과로 코스닥시장과 유가증권시장간에 차이가 많이 희석되었음을 시사한다.
