- Abstract
- Recently, the traditional market is equipped the modern facility as part of the traditional market activation policy of government.
Among them, an arcade is a good example of modern facility for consumers to shop groceries even though it rained. However,we wondered whether it served thermal comfort for consumers. Therefore we prove the efficiency of the arcade in aspect of thermal environment. Also we suggest thermally comfortable environment for the traditional market. To do this, we investigated the thermal environment of the arcade through the comparison between installed arcade and not installed arcade. As a result,we confirmed that the arcade served the thermally comfortable environment to traditional market because the arcade blocked out the hot radiant heat from exterior environment. Also we confirm that the traditional market used the materials which have low transmittance, has more thermally comfortable environment.
