Abstract
The phase transition at temperature variation is washed out in the finite system. Quantum or statistical fluctuations may give rise to this situation. It is still uncertain whether these fluctuations are caused by approximation error or finiteness of the system. Here we use another approximation the functional Schrodinger picture formalism founded on the variational principle and study the few-body nucleon system by using this formalism.
