- Abstract
- In this work, we prepared NiCoZn ferrites by using co-precipitation and we investigated the effects of cobalt content, sintering temperature and absorber thickness on electromagnetic wave absorption properties of sheet-type NiCoZn ferrite microwave absorbers. From an analysis of the X-ray diffraction patterns, we could see that all the particles had only a single phase spinel structure. The initial permeability of NiCoZn ferrite powder after sintering at 1250 degrees C was the lowest. In the MHz range, the Q factor of (Ni0.4Co0.1Zn0.5)Fe2O4 was higher than that for any other cobalt content. Also, a great reduction in absorption was evident for a 2-nim-thick NiCoZn ferrite-rubber composite absorber.
