- Abstract
- This study analyzes that composition elements and forms of movie title sequences based on visual principals. Existing movie title sequences was introduction or decoration of movies, however the meaning of recent title sequences were changed to roles and meanings in movies. They show daring imagery beauty and experimental molding elements.Title sequences in which mainly stimulate angle of view, a sense of hearing or both of them of audiences, is an art of complex combination of elements of images, text and sound. This study deals with visual elements only. This analysis discuss four matters - the beauty of molding between the stillness images and video shots, main colors which affect mental condition, calligraphy as variety of letters and prediction of story. During analyzing the movie title sequences from the end of 90's till now, the production markets of Koreas' title sequence is not mature and form. Recently, Korea's markets need the market extension of movie title sequences, the change of producers' mind and designers' active attitudes because they will be broaden. Most people, who work in the field of the movie industry, need to do three factors- first, the pursuit of beauty of the modeling based on movies’ stories, second, the choice of proper colors which reflects the cinema audiences’s feeling and thoughts, lastly, the improvement of the various calligraphy in the movie title sequences. As growing markets, we will mention about the analyzing and direction of title sequences in Korea, which is really important because the polishment and the perfection of movies.
