Abstract
The work presented in this paper is concerned with developing a consistent and convenient analytical method which enables us to simulate the material non-linearity. To present the complex stress-strain relationships of material, Sub-layer model has been used as a kind of numerical methods for a long time. A simple analytical formulation of macroscopic Sub-layer model is proposed for presenting the Baushinger effect, in which is represented to metallic material nonlinear behavior in cyclic loading. By using macroscopic variables, which are derived from the Sub-layer model directly, the proposed model enable us describe cyclic plasticity simply. Macroscopic formulations are employed with several surfaces and compared with the Bounding surface model. The validity of macroscopic model with comparing between the numerical result of the Sub-layer model and one of proposed model is also discussed macroscopically.
