- Abstract
- B3G 네트워크는 다양한 서비스를 요구하는 가입자들을 위해서 여러 시스템을 하나의 시스템으로 융합한 네트워크이다. 본 논문에서는 B3G 네트워크에서 고도화되는 서비스들에 대한 신뢰성을 높이기 위한 버퍼관리방안을 제안한다. B3G의 대표적 액세스 네트워크로는 UMTS와 WLAN이 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 이종의 액세스 네트워크를 제어하기 위해 PDP-PEP로 구분된 정책 기반 기능을 수행하는 네트워크 구조를 제시하고 있으며 액세스 네트워크의 버퍼관리를 통하여 특정 트래픽 클래스에 대한 ISHO를 수행한다. ISHO을 통한 버퍼관리방안은 자원 소모를 능동적으로 제어하고 자원 사용에 대한 편중을 조절하며, 버스트 트래픽에 대한 패킷 손실 율을 줄일 수 있다.
