Abstract
This paper presents a synchronization model that implements the presentation of multimedia objects as well as a synchronization scheme that improves media data latency and quality of service (QoS) in mobile environments. The proposed model meets synchronization requirements among multimedia data because it employs an approach to not only adjusting synchronization intervals using the maximum available delay variation or jitter at the base station (BS) but also flexibly dealing with variable latencies due to variations in delay time. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
