- Abstract
- Tags and metadata are used to manually retrieve public domain images, but it would require a lot of time and money to build such a system into an automated one. Therefore, it is necessary to extract the tags and metadata utilizing intelligent information technology, and semantic metadata is preferred for this purpose rather than simple metadata for each image content. In this paper, we have designed and implemented multi-layer metadata that can be used for customized search recommendation based on intelligent information using MPEG-7, Dublin core, and CCRel. The metadata of public domain images are described with the right of usage, feature information and semantic information, and they are expressed in an XML document form so that they can be exchanged on the web easily. © 2005 - ongoing JATIT & LLS.
