dc.description.abstractToday, the interest in the intellectual property rights is increasing, and the importance of the patents, one of the intellectual properties, is especially growing. Because patents include a lot of technical information such as paper, many things could be obtained through a patent analysis. However, patents include a large amount of data and the number of patents continues to grow. In addition, each country provides different formats of data and most of them are semi-structured or unstructured so it is not easy to analyze them. Therefore, in this paper, a big data-based patent analysis system is proposed to analyze these data efficiently. The proposed system makes different formats of patent data into a common format by utilizing a big data technology and provides an environment to easily analyze the patent data. © 2017 IEEE.-
