Application of DIBR algorithm in real-time image

Abstract

Depth image based rendering (DIBR) creates left-view and right-view images using a single image and its depth information, thereby requiring a reduced amount of the bandwidth. However, few studies have dealt with the problems and performance capabilities of such algorithms when they are applied to real-time images. In this paper, we propose an alternative approach to create 3D TV stereo images by applying various DIBR algorithms to real-time images. Copyright 2012 ACM.
